After leaving Capitol Park, we decided to Yelp and see what was nearby that had good reviews. We came across Squeeze Inn that had a ton of very high ratings, and was also featured on Guy Fieri’s show Diners Drive-Ins and Dives on the Food Network. Truth was, we weren’t very hungry, but figured we could share a burger, some fries, and check out the place.
The Squeeze Inn is known for their cheese skirt, which to us, tasted like the cheese that was stuck to the pizza box. It was good, but kind of hard, chewy, and a bit oily. The burger we ordered was the Squeezeburger with added mushrooms. The burger bun was good, the meat was thin, and the mushrooms were cold and seemed like they came out straight from a can.
The french fries were just ok.
Overall, our experience at Squeeze Inn was nothing really spectacular. Maybe it was because we weren’t starving, maybe it was the cold canned mushrooms, who knows. However, there are rave reviews on their Yelp page, so maybe we should have ordered something different.
