Black Tea Soap

Yesterday I received my order of activated charcoal, so I decided to make a Black Tea Soap.  I love this fragrance because it’s a dry tea scent that is slightly sweet and has just a touch of milk.

The swirls are from the added activated charcoal, rhassoul clay, and titanium dioxide.  I really like using rhassoul clay (aka moroccan lava clay) because it adds a nice slip to the lather and is supposed to be great for the skin’s elasticity and texture.  The activated charcoal I used is from bamboo and I love the deep rich black it adds to the soap.

I will be unmolding and cutting the soap in the next few days.  Check back for photos of the cut bars :D

  1. In love with this I’m a cp soaper myself, can you give a little more detail about how you got that gorgeous texture, spoon?

    1. Thank you so much Jodi! I use anything pointy that I can find right before I soap…ahhaha. For this soap I used a very long and thin spoon. Some other things I’ve tried are popsicle sticks, toothpicks, spoons, and even forks on occasion :D

  2. This is beautiful, please, please share the recipe. I am a new soaper and if I ever made anything this beautiful it would be amazing. Sincerely, Pat from Michigan
