After our very long day running around Sacramento, we decided to head back to our hotel and have dinner on the Delta King.
The Delta King has 2 separate dining options available: Pilothouse which is their sit down restaurant and Delta Bar and Grill which is more casual. Since we were in the mood for something quick and relaxed, we decided to tryout their bar.
Breakfast on Delta King is complimentary when you’re a guest in the hotel. The dining cabin was beautifully decorated and our server was very friendly and polite.
The complimentary breakfast they provided was their All Aboard special and it consisted of two eggs any style, with a choice of smoked bacon, honey cured ham, or country sausage, along with country potatoes and a house-made muffin. The bacon was thick cut and crispy, the potatoes were well seasoned, and everything else was delicious. The food was just what we needed to start the day.
Delta King’s Dining Information
The next day we drove to Sacramento and checked into our hotel Delta King. The Delta King is a docked riverboat that is in the Old Sacramento District. During the war they used it to transport soldiers from the San Francisco Bay. I have to say that staying on a boat with that kind of history sort of freaked me out. On one hand I was excited, but on the other I was scared at night. It definitely didn’t help that I was in bed watching YouTube videos of people ghost hunting on the same boat. What can I say, I’m a glutton for punishment … hahahah.
